No series has had more of an impact on the JRPG than Dragon Quest (often known as Dragon Warrior in the United States). So-called Japanese RPGs (JRPGs) are characterized by their predefined stories - as opposed to Western-style RPGs, which leave much of the story in the player’s hands - and turn-based combat, often randomly initiated as your character wanders around a world map.

While the modern role-playing game (RPG) started right here in the United States with the pen-and-paper Dungeons & Dragons, the Japanese have left their own unique mark on the genre, particularly on game consoles.

It will entertain you not only with a cool user interface but with a cool story and a good portion of humour. You can play it during a short break, while riding a bus or train or whenever you have some minutes to relax. Second, there are no real time decisions. At first sight some of you may say “oh no, anot her rogue clone”. You explore many dungeons with different dangers and rewards, get access to magic spells and new skills and develop your character throughout the story.
